Baptism Gifts started because christening gifts too often arrive as an afterthought — a thin pendant in a plain box. We wanted the medal to be the part of the day a family keeps, so we work with workshops that still finish each piece by hand. Every design we sell is one we would give within our own family.
Today we cover the classics — Virgin and Child, guardian angel, Saint Christopher, cross, zodiac and Miraculous medals — alongside contemporary designs for families who want something quieter. We also help with the details that matter: chain length for a baby, what to engrave, and how to present it on the day.
What we hold ourselves to
Real metals
We work in 18k gold, gold vermeil and 925 sterling silver, never plated base metal. Each piece carries its hallmark, so the medal can be worn daily and passed on without wearing thin.
Hand engraving
Names, dates and short messages are engraved on the reverse before your order ships. We send you a proof of the layout, and we keep the lettering shallow enough to stay comfortable against a child’s skin.
Safe for babies
Our chains come in 38, 40 and 45 cm with a soft clasp, and every medal is nickel-free with smoothed edges. We advise on when a chain is appropriate and when a keepsake box is the better choice.
Ready to give
Each order arrives in a lined jewellery box with a card for the godparents, ready to hand over on the day. Ceremony dates are fixed, so we tell you the real dispatch date before you pay.

A small team, one craft
Baptism Gifts is run by a handful of people who talk to the same engravers and workshops every week. When you email about a lettering question or a chain length, you reach someone who has held the piece.
We answer within one working day, and we would rather tell you a design isn’t right for a six-month-old than take the order. Most of what we know came from families who came back for a second child.
