What is the budget for wedding bands?
The price of a wedding ring depends on many factors, such as the chosen metal—for example, if the wedding band is gold or platinum, or if it features diamonds or other stones. The price also changes with the size of the ring; the larger the wedding band size, the higher the gold weight, and therefore the more expensive the jewelry will be.
Choosing a men’s wedding band
A wedding band is for life, so it is advisable to choose a metal that will last over time and perhaps be passed down to future generations. This is why Shop offers a wide range of robust 18 carats yellow, white, and rose gold wedding bands, as well as platinum. Gold is a metal that lasts and keeps its color for a lifetime. Platinum wedding band prices are higher because this metal is even more robust, and its shine does not diminish over time.
Regarding gold color, yellow gold wedding bands are the best-selling jewelry. It is the traditional wedding band par excellence. Those who are used to wearing a ring or a signet ring will therefore choose classic yellow gold. More discreet men will also appreciate white gold and platinum.
You must now choose the shape of the wedding band for a man. A small tip: if your engagement ring is already very ornate or imposing, the wedding band might need to be simpler, like a half-domed gold wedding band.
Wedding band wear
Wear on a wedding band is normal, but a simple polishing in our workshop can restore all its shine. Be aware that the metal most resistant to wear remains platinum, which retains its shine even more over time.
Also note that metal wear is more easily noticeable on wide wedding bands, such as a flat band. Wear is less visible on a thin men’s wedding band, such as a domed or half-domed wedding band.
