History – Béatrice Engagement Ring
Béatrice: Our Béatrice ring pays tribute to Beatrice of Vermandois, born around 880 and died after 931. She was a Carolingian princess and later Queen of the West Franks through her marriage. She was the daughter of Herbert I, Count of Vermandois, and the great-granddaughter of Bernard, King of Italy, himself a grandson of Charlemagne. Beatrice became Queen of the West Franks after her husband, who led the revolt against King Charles, was proclaimed king on June 22, 922, before being crowned on June 30 in Reims by the Archbishop of Sens, Walter I, in the church of Saint Rémi. The lines of this elegant and refined ring reflect the history of this princess turned queen.
