History – Chi Rho Symbol christening medal
One of our lovely traditional christening medals.
The Chi Rho is surely one of the most well-known symbols of Christendom. The Chi Rho symbol, also commonly called the Chi Rho, is composed of the combination of two Greek letters: the X (Chi) and the P (Rho). It is also called the Monogram of Christ because these two letters are the first letters of the word “Christ” (Χριστός). A christening medal that is both original, modern in style, and traditional in its ancient message.
The 9 carat medal is an alloy of metals (silver, copper, etc., with 37.5% pure gold). This model is also available in genuine 18 carat gold.
