    History – Isabeau Engagement Ring

Our Isabeau ring refers to Isabeau of Bavaria, also known as Isabella of Bavaria or Isabeau of Wittelsbach-Ingolstadt, born around 1370 in Munich, in the Duchy of Bavaria-Landshut, and died on September 24, 1435, in Paris, in the Kingdom of France. She was Queen of France from July 17, 1385, to October 21, 1422, as the wife of Charles VI. Isabeau became the unofficial regent on behalf of the dauphins, her four sons who successively became heirs to the throne (Charles +1401, Louis +1415, Jean +1417, and the future Charles VII), and took part in the royal council, holding an authority previously unequaled for a Queen of France for almost thirty years. Our ring features strong, bold lines reflecting this queen’s character.
